As you may be aware FNSW have announced some changes and updates to the Futsal Leagues for the upcoming season and onwards. The club has received numerous calls and contacts from current players, parents and community on what this means for the Sutherland Sharks Futsal club.
We want everyone to be aware that the Sharks will be submitting an application to be included in the upcoming 2018/19 season and forfilling all of the FNSW requirements in submission and will have to wait for the outcome of this review by FNSW.
Since the clubs admission into the futsal league 2 years ago we have continuous improvement and growth within the club from success of teams, improved coaching and have all our plans in place to continue its growth moving forward. Pending what the outcome of the FNSW review is the Sharks will still be particiapting in futsal within a represenattive capacity through other leagues so either way futsal will continue.
The Sutherland Sharks do not see any reason for the club not to be included in the competition with such a large depth of player base and a state of the art faciltiy in Meani Sports Centre our home venue. We are also working with the Sutherland Council on having better training facilicties and space and will be soon approaching the Sutherland Football Association to help include the Athletes with Disabilites (AWD) within the club.
Once the club receive the outcome of review of leagues and find out if we have been included in the leagues we will be posting trial dates and times as per our usual online process.
Please keep an eye on the Sharks website or our facebook page on any updates to this announcment. We will keep everyone as informed as possible and look forward to hopefully being accepted into the new league formats and continuing to grow and develope as a club and our players.
