Sutherland Sharks FC – based at Seymour Shaw Park, Miranda – has recently invested an excess of $1.2 million into their facility. This involved the development of the ground facilities, additional seating, upgrading of floodlighting and, most significantly, the installation of the state of the art Synthetic playing surface.

In February of 2007, the new Synthetic Playing Surface was completed thanks to the not insignificant support of local businessman, John Hills. It is both the first approved football field of any code and first FIFA approved field in Australia – ranked in the top 4 for quality out of 23 currently in the world.
