Mitchell Farmer and Nicholas Olsen Selected for Ipswich Academy
Two fine young men have been selected to attend the Ipswich Academy in the United Kingdom for a month of education and training. They are Mitchel Farmer (left) and Nicholas Olsen, both of the Youth Premier League U16 squad, pictured here with Sharks FC General Manager George Hurley, who will accompany the boys on the trip.
This is the third year that this highly prized Sharks Scholarship has been awarded.
The successful duo went through a rigorous selection process along with nine others after submitting an expression of interest and attending extra training sessions over an eight week period. The standards displayed by all boys was outstanding and the selection of only two from such a talented group was very difficult.
The entire club wish the boys well during their time at Ipswich and we are sure the experience will be of great benefit to their future both in football and life skills in general.
Best of Luck Boys!
