Wednesday afternoon was a light jog/walk and stretching session.Thursday morning 10am boys were met again by PNE coach Joe Parkinson, who ran them through a high intensity session working on playing under pressure and moving the ball quickly.
The boys were well and truely drilled and have really enjoyed the 2 sessions, the afternoon once more will include a light recovery session in preparation for their pre-tournament match against Wigan Athletic at the 1st team training ground.
The Wigan staff are preparing to have a good look at the boys for any players that they deem suitable to take on trial.
Joe Parkinson has been really impressed with the players and is looking to rearrange his coaching duties at Preston North End on Friday evening to come and watch them play.
Preston North End are also sending a scout out to watch the boys.
Again thanks to MP |

Well the boys adventure continues as they arrived in Manchester around 10am Tuesday morning and travelled to their pre tournament head quarters opposite The Trafford Centre. They head off to the do some shopping and kill a little time while they wait for their rooms to be ready.A light walk/jog stretch in the afternoon, dinner and all out by 8.30pm.
Wednesday 10am… Preston North End Youth coach (Everton midfielder, 95 FA cup winner, Wigan Athletic Athletic, 1st team player ) Joe Parkinson , meets the squad at the adjacent soccerdome , to run the boys through a one hour flight recovery session.
The boys looked sharp and seem largely unaffected by the long flight but how affected we will see in the next day or so. Then it was back to the hotel for a quick talk on how football clubs operate in the UK, a shower, a massage from the team physio, then across the road for a team lunch.
I must complement the whole squad on the discipline and good manners, if their attitudes are anything to go on they will do well, and their parents can be rightly proud of the boys even at this early stage.
