Opportunity UK Football Scholarship 2009

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

The assessment process starts with a light training run at 6pm Monday 30th March at Seymour Shaw. The senior squads assistant coach Carlos Villazon will be running the boys.

Good luck to the boys not only in this process, but by being part of this project they have shown their interest, and a serious committment to the game, also indicated that they have ambitions to move into the elite areas of football.

Sutherland Sharks 2009

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

The 2008 season was possibly the best in the Sharks history. Winning the Minor premiership and fighting out the Grandfinal really pushed home that the Shire are a force in NSW Football and are to be taken seriously over the coming years.

With players moving up into the A league we will find it hard to replicate the 2008 results but we have the talent here in the Shire and look forward to having more Brendan Gann type players being noticed and moving into the Elite A league then possibly higher honours.

We are here as a club to develop our home grown youth and if we lose two or three a season to the higher level in our sport we are winners. Support your Shire Football Club and help us help our youth.
